The Ethics Committee of Youth and Childhood Studies operates under the auspices of the Finnish Youth Research Network. The committee’s next meeting will be held on 14 February 2023, and requests for assessment must be submitted according to the request instructions and using the electronic form by 31 January 2023.

The committee offers ethical assessments for researchers whose work is not covered by an ethics committee in their respective organisations. Researchers requesting a statement must be members of the Finnish Youth Research Society or the Finnish Society for Childhood Studies (Visit an external site. The link opens in a new tab.).

Please note that all the requested documents should be attached to the request when submitted, as otherwise there may be delays due to the committee needing to request the missing data.
