Themes
Finnish Youth Research Society carries out a wide range of research on both social divisions that shape young people’s lives and everyday experiences and practices of young people and adults who work with them. In addition to the established themes in youth studies, we highlight new topics related to the transformation of youth in the world.
Our research activities are based on multidisciplinarity, ethics and the combination of basic academic research and applied, youth policy-relevant research approaches. Research activities are carried out both nationally and internationally.
Current research activities
Regular data collections are the cornerstone of the Finnish Youth Research Society research activities, characterised by their recurrence, permanence and long-time series. In terms of volume, most of our research is carried out in research projects of varying size and duration.
