Youth cultures and leisure time

The versatile study of leisure time is one of the most established themes of youth research, both internationally and in Finland. It focuses on both the organised leisure activities offered to young people and their own leisure time spent outside organisations, for example from the perspective of youth cultures and peer communities.

The thematic area is coordinated by Senior Researcher Antti Kivijärvi.
